Computer Based Education modules are pieces of software that allow a person to educate themselves on other software applications such as Microsoft Word or Excel, at their own pace, without outside assistance.  These are a convenient way to get up to speed on any software you might need in your job. There are CBE modules available for Windows and Office Applications to assist the user in becoming proficient in these computer programs. They range from novice to advanced level.

How long are the CBE Courses?
Complete applications are several hours of training, but can be taken in small segments, depending on your availability. You have the option of scheduling for a morning or afternoon or an hour at a time until you have completed the education you require.
 
Where is the CBE Room?
The computer education room is located at LGH, on the 3rd floor of the James Street building.
 
How can I schedule a time take a CBE in the Computer Education Room?
Please contact the Computer Education group, either Janet Voss, jmvoss@lancastergeneralcollege.edu, 544-4229, or Rhoda Denlinger, rhdenlin@lancastergeneralcollege.edu, 544-5092, to schedule a time to take a module or more.
 
How can I get credit for taking the courses?
Print out your notification that you have completed the modules you wish to take and send it to Janet Voss or Rhoda Denlinger. We will enter it into the NetLearning transcript.
