Lancaster General is pleased to be able to provide our employees with the opportunity to advance their education with contact hour courses in NetLearning. These courses are available 24/7 and can be taken in the hospital or workplace setting or at your computer at home.
At present, the courses available are from the Thompson/Delmar Company and provide contact hours approved by ANCC (the Magnet approval body) for Nursing Courses and also Radiology governing boards to allow Radiology techs the ability to gain CE's online. There will be courses available for other Allied Health contact hours and when they are available, email communication will be sent to everyone.
There are a few easy steps to doing this process that will assist you in a smooth experience your first time taking a program.
- Go into the NetLearning Student Interface and enter your ID number.
- Click on "Enroll in CBL".
- At the top of the screen there is a selection box "Display Course List by Curriculum".
- You can choose whichever area of specialty you are interested in and look at the courses that are available.
- When you have selected your course, click on Enroll.
- At the next page, choose "Review Course Material".
- You will then be taken to the course within the NetLearning Student Interface.
- Complete the course.
- Go to the "Take Test" button in the NetLearning window and answer the questions.
- The contact hours will then appear on your transcript.
We hope you will find this useful and easy for maintaining your contact hours or for learning some new and exciting things in healthcare. If there are any problems or concerns, please contact Janet Voss by email, jmvoss@lancastergeneralcollege.edu, or at 44229.
