Target Audience:  RNs, LPNs, and student nurses interested in learning about the processes for conducting a research project and exploring Evidence Based Practice

Topics: 

• Moving Research into Practice
  Presentation will explore the importance of the use of research in nursing practice and 
  how practitioners can integrate and motivate others into the integration research into
  every day nursing practice.

• Partnering Education with Evidence Based Practice in the Hospital
  This session will emphasize the importance of partnering education with Evidence Based Practice to enhance practitioner’s engagement and understanding of EBP in the clinical setting.

• How to Introduce EBP Models into Practice
  This presentation will explore various established research models and will highlight the model recently integrated at Lancaster General Health.

• Conducting a Literature Review
  Participants will be given tools for conducting a thorough literature review with
  various literature databases.

• Small Group Workshops
  Participants will rotate to small work groups to explore key elements of the research
  process, including identifying valid research, developing research questions, etc.

• Panel Discussion:  Nursing Units Journey into EBP
  Various nursing unit representatives
  Individuals that have participated in the research process will present a brief synopsis
  of their research journey and will provide feedback and discussion based on audience
  member’s questions.
  

• There will be an online evaluation after the event has ended.
