GAME RESULTS (in reverse order) |
0-3 v Havertown II June 1 |
Goals: none. Assists: none. |
| Playing 8v11 in the first half and 7v11 in the second half, we turned in an amazing, gutsy defensive performance and held Havertown to 3 goals on only a handful of shots. |
3-6 v Tredyffrin/Easttown June 4 |
Goals: Tara Ziegler (2), Carolyn Stauffer (1), Donna Hess (1). Assists: Tara Ziegler (1). |
| We fell behind 2-0 early then pulled within 2-1 on a free kick by Tara Ziegler. In the 2nd half, they outscored us 3-2, with our goals coming on a scrappy goal by Carolyn Stauffer and another scrappy goal by Donna Hess after a cross from Tara Ziegler. |
4-0 v King of Prussia May 21 |
Goals: Janelle Hess (5,6), Eva Cooper (2), Tara Ziegler (1). Assists: JoAnn Baker (1), Donna Hess (2). |
| Our first-ever shutout featured two goals by Janelle Hess in the 1st half (a breakaway, and an interior shot assisted by JoAnn Baker), and two more goals in the 2nd half (Donna Hess to Eva Cooper after a cross by Tara Ziegler, and an unassisted goal by Tara Ziegler). |
0-3 v Lower Merion Lightning May 14 |
Goals: None. Assists: None. |
| We surrendered two early goals on crossing balls from the right side, then dominated possession for most of the rest of the game. A long breakaway goal midway through the 2nd half sealed our fate, and we never managed to seriously test their goalkeeper. |
5-2 v Lower Merion Spirit May 7 |
Goals: JoAnn Baker (2), Janelle Hess (2,3,4), Suzanne Miller (4). Assists: Janelle Hess (3,4), Carolyn Stauffer (1). |
| After her last-minute heroics last week, Janelle Hess scored 3 goals and had 2 assists in a strong 5-2 victory in which we led 3-1 at halftime. |
1-1 @ Tredyffrin/Easttown April 30 |
Goals: Janelle Hess (1). |
| Fantastic game! Tied 0-0 at half, we gave up an early goal in the 2nd half to fall behind 1-0. With eight minutes left, we started pushing extra players up to offense, and finally tied the game 1-1 on a long shot by Janelle Hess with a minute and a half to go. |
5-1 v West Chester April 23 |
Goals: Suzanne Miller (2,3), JoAnn Baker (1), Beth Dinich (1), Eva Cooper (1). Assists: Janelle Hess (2), Suzanne Miller (1), Donna Hess (1). |
| Playing with only 10 players in the first half, we took a 3-0 lead, then finished out the 5-1 victory at full strength. Solid defense and some beautiful goals along the way. |
3-3 v Havertown II April 9 |
Goals: Alicia Mulcavage (1), Suzanne Miller (1), Krista Gockley (1). Assist: Janelle Hess (1). |
| After taking an early 2-0 lead, we gave up 2 goals to reach the half tied at 2-2. Each team scored once in a very physical, feisty second half. Fun first game ever. |
