The Institute for Professional Development (IPD) continues a long tradition of educating competent, caring and socially responsible health care practitioners. A division of Lancaster General College since July 2007, the IPD descends directly from Lancaster General Hospital's Department of Education and Professional Development. Additional Services from the IPD The Annual Mandatories list allows LG employees to see their list of mandatory educational requirements for the year. The IPD offers New Employee Orientation for all new employees coming in to the LG system. We also offer Newsletters on various topics.	The Journal of Lancaster General Hospital a general medical journal for health professionals The JLGH has been published quarterly since April 2006 as a "Record of Medical Progress". The Journal's mission is to be an educational resource that furthers the highest standards in the science, practice, and art of delivering health care. Read the JLGH now.
