Please read this page in its entirety as it outlines all Neonatal Resuscitation Initial Provider pre-class requirements. The class will begin at 0800 and lasts approximately eight hours. There is required work to complete prior to arrival.
 
This program teaches the knowledge and skills required to resuscitate newborns. While this course does not guarantee proficiency during an actual resuscitation, it lays the foundation that enables participants to continue development of these skills.
 
On the day of the course, your NRC instructor will briefly review the key points of each chapter and provide a practice session for those lessons with a performance evaluation. .
 
Prerequisites:
  • Current BLS Card
Required Text:
  • Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Edition.
  • Books may be purchased from www.mbsdirect.net.
  • You may borrow a book from the WBH Educator's Office located in the Couplet Care Hallway or the staff educator office in the Women's Inpatient Unit.  All borrowed materials must be returned on the day of class or you will not be permitted to participate.
NRC Pre-work:
  • Read the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Edition.
Bring to Class:
  • Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Edition.
  • Pen or pencil.
