The first phase of the process involving an institutional self-study report was completed and submitted to the evaluation team and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) on March 4, 2011. A copy of the report is available here. The second phase of Lancaster General College’s process to seek re-accreditation with the MSCHE will take place from April 17 - 20, 2011 with an on-site visit from the Middle States Evaluation Team.

The on-site visit is conducted in addition to our institutional self-study report to ensure that Lancaster General College demonstrates it is in compliance with the fourteen accreditation standards set forth in the MSCHE document, Characteristics of Excellence in Higher Education. Members of the evaluation team are selected from other institutions accredited through the MSCHE, and each is expected to contribute a thoughtful assessment of Lancaster General College, framed in context of the accreditation standards and the College's mission and goals. The 2011 Self-Study Documents is reviewed with additional materials and collegial interviews with various individuals/groups from the Lancaster General College community to ascertain how well the College meets the fourteen standards of accreditation.
