Understanding Myself and Others
Course Description:  Through a study of temperament and behavioral goals, participants will better understand the reasons they and those around them behave as they do.
 
Objectives:
  • Become familiar with the process of self-reflection.
  • Discover approaches to consider attitudes, styles and behaviors of self and others.


Stress Management
Course Description:  Learn techniques to help you deal with the stress in your life.
 
Objectives:
  • Learn how stress affects us physically, mentally and emotionally.
  • Find ways to achieve work/life balance.
  • Discover ways to manage stress.

Budgeting
Course Description:  Learn the 7 Secrets of successful budgeting.
 
Objectives:
  • Learn tips for making your money stretch further.
  • Create a budget with your existing finances.

Anger Management
Course Description:  Learn ways to handle your anger in a healthy and productive manner. 
 
Objectives:
  • Identify triggers and signs of anger. 
  • Discover techniques to manage and express anger appropriately.

Workplace Skills for Success
Course Description:
  Develop techniques to improve your workplace performance.
 
Objectives:  
  • Learn ways to demonstrate responsibility and effort.
  • Discuss strategies to work more cooperatively with your co-workers and supervisor. 

Diversity
Course Description:   Learn ways to interact positively within a diverse work environment.
 
Objectives:
  • Define what diversity means at LG.
  • Understand how diversity makes good business sense at LG.
  • Discuss ways to positively interact within a diverse work environment.

Healthy Food Choices
Course Description:  Learn to make healthy choices for snacks, cooking and eating out.
Objectives:
  • Identify elements of the ideal diet for optimum health.
  • Interpret information listed on food nutrition labels.
  • Gather tips and suggestions for eating well.

Credit and You
Course Description:
  Learn how to check, improve and maintain good credit.
 
Objectives:
  • Understand what credit (or debt) is.
  • Understand the proper use of credit.
  • Know how to establish good credit.
  • Become familiar with a credit report.
  • Know how to challenge your credit report.

Healthy Communication
Course Description:  Learn how to communicate in ways that engage cooperation and build healthy relationships.
 
Objectives:
  • Learn healthy techniques to express your feelings and needs.
  • Discover the power of listening effectively.

Time Management
Course Description:  Make the most of the time available to you.  Get ideas for organizing yourself and your schedule.

  • Learn strategies for juggling work and home life demands.
  • Reduce stress by organizing your time and commitments. 

Problem Solving and Conflict Management
Course Description:  Appropriate steps for solving problems at work, at home and with other individuals.

Moving Well
Course Description:  Strategies and skills to promote physical wellness.

• Learn ways to include exercise in your daily routine

Course Description:  What to look for in a first home purchase, and ways to access the financial opportunities available in mortgage lending.

Objectives:

• Learn more about the Homes in the City benefit to LGH employees
• Understand the home buying process


Listening and Respect
Course Description:
  A follow-up to Healthy Communication

Objectives:

• Learn ways to effectively listen to others and treat them with respect.
• Practice active listening


Computer Basics
Course Description: 
An intro or refresher on basics of using the workplace computer

Objectives:

• Practice accessing important LGH sites
• Learn how to maximize your use of the computer at work


Work/Life Balance
Course Description: 
How to manage the conflicting work/home responsibilities.

Objectives:

• Discover ways to reduce the stress of managing work and home
• Learn tips for accomplishing more each day


Multi-Generational Diversity
Course Description:
Improve the workplace environment by better understanding the generational differences of co-workers

Objectives:

• Discover why other generations approach the job in a different manner
• Develop a better understanding of  generational differences


Workplace Communication
Course Description: 
Techniques for effective communication in the workplace; clinical
language, and important signals for non-clinicians

Objectives:

• Learn signals and language that should be given immediate attention
• Find ways to be more effective as you communicate with supervisors and co-workers


Earth Conscious/Money Conscious 
Course Description:
  What people can do to conserve resources and save money

Objectives:

• Learn tips for lowering energy costs
• Find ways to economize at home

Course Description: 
Use the strengths of fellow-employees to cooperatively accomplish the departmental tasks.

Objectives:

• Learn ways to work together to do a better job
