OBESITY THROUGHOUT THE LIFESPAN - ADULTS
Obesity is a serious and rising health epidemic in our country. Nearly 93 million Americans are obese and that number is projected to increase to 120 million in the next 5 years. Obesity is ranked as Lancaster County’s number one health priority by the Lancaster Health Improvement Partnership (LHIP) with nearly 60% of Lancaster County adults either overweight or obese. The implications of obesity are challenging health care workers daily. Routine daily tasks become more difficult and pose safety threats. Discover tools, assessment techniques and treatment options that will position you to safely and effectively care for the obese adult.
