SPEAKER: Kathy Smith, RN, BSN, ONC.
Kathy has worked in the orthopedic specialty since 1997. She began her orthopedic career as a staff nurse and since has held the positions of nursing unit supervisor, orthopedic nurse clinician, and currently orthopedic nurse manager. Kathy has obtained her orthopedic nurse certification. She is active in her local chapter of NAON, having held various officer positions including secretary, president elect and president. She is interested in helping nurses grow in their knowledge and care of the orthopedic patient and helping to distinguish the specialty of orthopedics.
